A funny moment at the Gathering Place.

“...using the logic of a five-year old, (he) headed to the opponents' goal because there was no one there..."
Wrong Goal!
I did supervisory work at a sports and fitness facitilty called the Gathering Place. One Saturday morning, as I was making my rounds, I saw a Division 1 player (ages 5-6 and usually under 48 inches tall) get a defensive rebound and head down the court to his own goal. He was about as slow as molasses, so when he arrived, all the other players were already there. No problem for him - He just turned around, and, using the logic of a five-year old, headed to the opponents' goal because there was no one there. The crowd went wild. One-third were trying to get the player to turn around, one-third were encouraging him to continue down the court and one-third were just laughing and enjoying the moment. Ultimately, he stopped right under the goal, took the shot and hit the bottom of the rim.
